These vintage posters are along the lines of the XXX Vintage Posters we posted last week. This post is a little different because it shows the evolution [well, lack there of] of posters utilizing an important set of limbs- the legs. The earliest usage of spread-legged images were in the 19th century featuring slave masters lording over cowering victims.
It’s quite surprising how little the leg has evolved throughout poster design whether it’s for movies, theater, albums or an individuals poster. The positions of yesterday are being used today- and I’m certainly not complaining. There’s a very overwhelming sense of sexiness seeing the image of very prominent, sexy legs in the foreground with a small, nude [or half nude] women crawling in between the legs. DAMN.
